The drawing will be at the New Years Eve Party on July 31. You must be present to win. If you can’t be in attendance, give your ticket with your name on the back to a friend who will be there. They can claim it for you. All items collected will then be taken to a local food pantry. Let’s all pull together and make this a great community project.

BINGO: We have a new caller this year (Karen Borggraefe) and a new kind of BINGO. Since we don’t play for money, we have decided to make this a Family Bingo. Kids are welcomed to join in & play under the supervision of an adult. We are in need of gently used BINGO prizes for adults & kids. Please make sure the prizes are in working order/have all the pieces/not broken. You can drop these off at the office & we’ll get them to Karen.

WHILE YOU ARE GOING THROUGH & CLEANING HOUSE, PLEASE KEEP MERAMEC VALLEY CAMP RESORT IN MIND. KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEBSITE FOR “ITEMS WANTED” AS THE LIST BELOW MAY CHANGE AS WE BEGIN PLANNING ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE YEAR. WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF STUFFED ANIMALS, BINGO PRIZES FOR ADULTS & KIDS, ACTIVITY DECORATIONS, LARGE RUBBERMAID TOTES (OR SIMILAR) WITH LIDS & PINK FLAMINGOS. ALSO, DON’T FORGET TO COLLECT ITEMS FROM HOME FOR THE ANNUAL AUCTION.

2010 WILL BE A VERY EXCITING YEAR AT MERAMEC VALLEY. DON’T FORGET TO RESERVE A CANOE OR TWO FOR A FLOAT TRIP. WE WILL BE PLANNING POSSIBLE BUS TRIPS TO WINERIES, ETC. KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEBSITE FOR ANY UNSCHEDULED ACTIVITIES THAT MAY DEVELOP THROUGH THE YEAR.

I have been collecting some BINGO prizes and will bring them Mother's Day weekend for the Resort to use. Also I need Kim's e-mail to let her know that I plan to make some attendance prize baskets for the Margarita Party weekend.

To reply to homedad3. We are not losing our only dance left. We will have many events that involve music and dancing. In my opinion we are gaining events because we have members willing to help set up and take over these events. You have been welcome to join our event set-up and are welcome to bring back this event for 2011. We apologize that we cannot please the interest of all members but as volunteers we do the best we can to please the majority. Please join us in our fall meetings to take over next years 4th of July weekend. We look forward to having the extra help.
